- Paths for All Community Path Group of the Year 2015 -
Earlston Paths Group were delighted to learn in September at Scotland's Walking Champions awards ceremony at the Scottish Parliament that we had been chosen by Paths for All as their Volunteer Community Path Group of the Year.
It is wonderful recognition of all the hard work carried out by our community volunteers and came at a great time when we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and puts Earlston on the Scottish walking map in a very positive way!
The award recognises the work of everyone directly involved with us, but we want to acknowledge the widespread support we've always enjoyed from local landowners, businesses, and residents who all help and support us in numerous other ways.
Our core volunteers do most of the physical work, maintaining and improving our local footpaths, but its the community support that underpins everything we do.
Our focus is always to keep our path network in good condition, encouraging people in our communities to be active and enjoy the recognised health benefits that walking can provide.
