LEADER WATER DIVERSION

Forestry work on the Leader Water Path, south of the community woodland, is finished for the next few months and the Borders Forest Trust diversion is no longer in place.

Unfortunately, a section at the walled garden is dangerous because of fallen masonry.

A short diversion, well signposted in both directions, has been put in place by Earlston Paths Group.

It uses a lower section of path to avoid any potential danger and will remain live until the wall is repaired.

There's one steep set of steps but they have a handrail.
