PATH CLOSURE AND MORE

Updated: Dec 1, 2021

LEADER WATER PATH Coming from Leaderfoot, the path is completely blocked south of "the stepping stone burn", after Grange Hall, by a large number of fallen trees - with others hanging dangerously over the route. Unlikely to be cleared any time soon.

THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE AT THIS TIME. WARNING SIGNS IN PLACE AT LEADERFOOT AND BOTTOM OF COMMUNITY WOODLAND.

Condition of other paths unknown but will be checked. PLEASE let us know if you spot any hazards while this is being done.

A great help to us if walkers could throw any small or manageable branches to the side of paths.

Thanks to Pandy Park from Glenburnie, down yesterday afternoon and removed tree blocking track above the chain bridge.

Also David Brown from Haughhead Road who came out early on Sunday morning to chainsaw the tree across the path in Mill Meadow. All cleared and thrown out the way by Ian.

Ian & Tom down Leader Water checking check for damage, repair what they can.
