A & R Brownlie Ltd have advised they are starting preparatory timber felling and work to upgrade some sections of the road beyond Georgefield to take heavy vehicles on 1st May.
Main timber felling to follow at a later date.
Forestry workers and forestry operations have key worker status as wood is needed for energy production, paper production and for pallets. A & R Brownlie Ltd have social distancing procedures in place to safeguard their operators and others.
The company advise they are displaying appropriate warning signs to alert walkers/users.
The work should not impact on access along the road to Whitefield and the Black Hill other than people should exercise extra care and obey warning signs.
